What’s Up Maniacs?
P.Shway here and I’ve got a bit a of a tour update for you. We just made it back to our Manager’s house in one piece this morning. Which is more than I can say for our tour van. Unfortunately we had to cancel the NYC show this past weekend due to the van’s mechanical troubles. We sincerely apologize to all of our fans in the big apple and are planning on making it up to you in a BIG way when we roll through NYC in the end of March.
With that being said we are currently without a safe touring vehicle and will be upgrading to something more reliable, hopefully within the week.
On a brighter note, our EP “Prelude to Party” has been released and is for sale on amazon.com. It’s a 3 song EP for LESS THAN $3.00. Any profits we gain from the sale of our EP will go directly to the tour van fund so we ask that you tell everyone you know about us and our recent struggles, every little bit helps and we would be beyond words grateful!
On an even brighter note, the shows that our van allowed us to make went exceptionally well! Manamana came, Manamana rocked, Manamana left Ohio in smoldering ashes of our wake. We played to an eclectic mix of people from night to night. For instance, one show we shared the stage with a college jazz band, another night we played with artsy electronica bands, then the last Ohio show we played wasn’t even scheduled or expected. We went to hang out at a biker dive bar for a friend’s recent college graduation and upon entering the bar were bombarded with requests to play our show from staff and patrons alike, so of course we obliged!
All in all the 3 of us are rolling with the punches and having a blast on the road. We can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces at the next city, town, truck stop, etc. So until then, all of you Maniacs better keep rocking and we’ll see you very soon! Peace out my babies!!!
