Sunshining Friends!

Manamana surely had a blast in Florida!  But who doesn’t?  If you answer nobody, you are correct!

Our aforementioned leg of touring was no exception.  We were able to reconnect with some childhood friends.  Thank goodness for people wanting to pioneer their way to the the sunshine state!

Capt. Steve & Maribel are great.  Your hospitality was outstanding and is greatly appreciated!

John & Vanessa, the same to y’all!  You’ve got a great family with some pretty cool kids!  We had a great time at Shelly & Jeremy’s for the cookout.  Wayne, Sheri, & Gordon, it was great seeing y’all again as well.   Thank goodness I decided against the unicycle.  I think the cartwheels and 1 armed pushups are my limit these days.  I am nearing the end of my youth after all, lol!

We were fortunate enou...

Attention Florida…Hurricane ‘Manamana’ Is About To Hit!

Manamana Merch Table

That’s Right!

Batten down the hatches, me hearties! Manamana is about to hang ten and cut loose on our Deep South Tour Route and Florida is first on the radar!

We’ll be playing 3 shows this week in Florida (June 13th at Tir na nOg in Daytona Beach, June 14th at Odin’s Den in Winter Park, and June 15th at Sleeping Moon Cafe also in Winter Park). Then we’ll be heading up to Georgia and then follow the Gulf around and eventually hit the Wild West of Texas! But now I’m getting ahead of myself.

We can’t wait to hit the sand, surf, and sun after these long winter doldrum-months.  We’ve got our swim suits, shark repellant, and beach-Balls packed!

Now I know what you’re thinking, “Manamana is ready for Florida, but is Florida ready for Manamana?” Well if this incredible article (copy and paste li...

Manamana…On A Cooking Show? Yes It’s True….

manamana-bigbanner

You heard right, Maniacs, but I’ll get more into that later…First Thing’s First:

We have had a most excellent time throughout our last Northerly Tour Stint. Here’s what happened…at least the PG-13 stuff:

We got up to Pittsfield, Mass. on Wed. for a show at Chameleon’s and had a great time. Made some friends with the other bands and the Booker Andy was really cool to us. Then we meandered our way up to the great white north of Portland, Maine to play a show with our good friends Kamikaze Angel (if you haven’t checked these guys out, DO IT. They’re a great bunch of guys with kick-ass tunes!) and The Motor Creeps. The show in Portland went over phenomenally where everyone had a good time...

Manamana’s Homecoming Weekend!!!

Homecoming Wknd 022

Greetings, Maniacs!

It was a wonderful Homecoming weekend for Manamana! And, we’d like to take this time to review and thank everyone who made us feel at home — at home!!!

On Friday, we trekked out to Spindale, NC to perform at the Ultimate Basement. As everyone knows, Gerb is the man!
He makes everyone feel like part of the family. We shared the stage with Ichincide (from Europe), Laid In Stone, and Alias For Now. These 3 bands bring it and we were very pumped to be a part of all the awesomeness!

Now, as many know, we have our “Girls Girls Girls” nationwide contest…...

And The Prize Goes To…

Hey Maniacs,

We want to give a big shout out and thank you to two special ladies. The other night we had a show at Chameleon’s in Pittsfield, Massachusetts where we got a big surprise. Two of P.Shway’s high school classmates, Lauren Olsen and Ashley Krebs, drove over 5 hours, that’s right 5 HOURS, from Western New York to Western Massachusetts just to see Manamana perform that night. That not only makes them some of the coolest people we know but these ladies also win the ‘fan prize’ for driving the furthest to see Manamana play since we hit the road for our Party On Wheels tour in January! And for that we send out a huge THANK YOU, you girls ROCK!

Top of the Day Maniacs,

Being on the road and basically having our heads spinning 24/7 between the shows, travel, etc. we sometimes slip with posting our appreciation to those closest to us and whom have been major supporters of what we are doing in following our dreams. And for that we apologize.

Without further ado, we’d like to take this time to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to our awesome friend Damien Wittingen. Not only is he responsible for creating Butch Bobcat’s most excellent “skull” guitar and being our exclusive tattoo artist, Damien has also shown nothing but love towards us and goes out of his way to accommodate us with food and lodging whenever we’re in his neck of the woods. For that our hats are off and we say “Thank You, Damien. Love Ya, Brother!”

Also, we wouldn’t be able to...

Ahh, What A Smooth Ride!

The Prelude to Party on Wheels

Since we’re now using Mr. Saturday Knight’s pick up truck (The Mayer, Goldy Wilson) as our tour vehicle, we needed to make it completely ready to go the distance which for the most part just called for general maintenance. Since we’re hauling all of our gear in it though, we had to put new shocks on the back. We took it to Bare Bones Repair in Kannapolis, NC. Owner/operator Dale Sheffield whom is also the mastermind of the band Whiskey Hell Child, was able to fit us in to get it fixed on very short notice since we only had 2 days to get it taken care of before we hit the road again for another show in New York City. His prices are very reasonable and he is a really cool guy...

To the Good Reverend and the Dyskfunctional Mastermind

The Prelude to Party on Wheels

From our first show in July of 2010 with what was supposed to be a one off show, Manamana has always done whatever we could to put on the best possible show for all you maniacs in front of the stage watching and rocking with us as we step up to rage the stage. Ever since then, we’ve been working toward bringing to fruition our life long dreams of traveling across the country and eventually the rest of the world playing our music and giving you the most electrifying and entertaining live extravaganza that you’ve ever seen.

We’ve recently had the opportunity and extreme honor of working with 2 individuals that have been helping us accomplish our biggest dream. Last year, we went into Dyskfunctional Records LLC studio to record our upcoming album Party On Wheels...

You’re a pal and a confidant

EP album art

We’d like to throw a big thank you to some of our friends and family that have helped us out while on the road. It’s been so cold out that even the polar bears in their polka dotted underwear won’t go out to play.

These people have been gracious and hospitable enough to let us pull up a corner of a rug and/or wear out their couches giving the three of us a place to rest our weary heads as well as feeding us when possible to break up the monotony of our Ramen Noodles and peanut butter sammich diet. For that, we are extremely grateful to each and every one of you for helping us out on our journey !!

Keith (The MoJo), the Burns’, Jeff & Trish, Kim & Joe, Everett, Aunt Ginger, Uncle John, and the Moorheads

You all are nothing less than amazing !!!!!!
